Counselling
Supporting you on your journey
a co-created therapeutic space
Each person chooses to engage with a counsellor for different reasons in different seasons of life. Perhaps you have a clearly defined issue or challenge that brings you to seek a counsellor, or maybe it's more of an underlying feeling that you can't shake. It takes courage to admit you are struggling with something, and even more courage to seek support. But no matter what it is, or how long you have put it off, it is never too late to make a change. As a counsellor, I aim to nurture an open and non-judgmental space where I can meet you where you are as you navigate life's challenges.By creating a therapeutic space together, I aim to support you in leading a holistically healthy and vibrant life.

about me
- I am a British-born, ethnically Chinese man.
- My Christian faith is an important part of my life.
- I was diagnosed with Dyslexia in my early thirties. These characteristics, and other relationships and experiences, have shaped my strengths, weaknesses, unique insights, and blind spots. They have also been lenses through which those around me have viewed and treated me.A healing aspect of my journey to becoming a counsellor has been learning how to give space for different aspects of my life to come to the foreground, to be examined, weighed, understood and embraced.I was fortunate enough to experience the good support of others (including a counsellor), and I hope that I can carefully support others on their own journeys of self-reflection, healing and growth.I believe that being a counsellor is a unique privilege that carries particular responsibilities. To ensure that I continue to serve my clients to the best of my abilities, I am a practising registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and the Association of Christians in Counselling and Linked Professions (MACC) in the UK.I am also in regular clinical supervision in support of my client work.Training and Qualifications:
BA hons (1st Class, BACP accredited course)
Trauma-informed practice (post-qualification training)

- Abuse (including emotional, historical, physical, sexual and spiritual)
- Supporting clients in Addiction recovery
- Anxiety
- Bereavement
- Depression
- Feelings of hopelessness or loss of purpose
- Grief
- Low mood
- Low self-esteem
- Living with Neurodiversity
- Past traumatic events
- Relationship issues
- Religious and Spiritual issues
- Stress
- Self-harm and Suicidal thoughtsI believe every person is intrinsically valuable and is at their best when they can experience and freely express their worth in their lives. On the other hand, when we encounter circumstances that challenge our sense of worth, this causes us emotional and psychological pain.My role as an Integrative counsellor is to support you, my client, as you explore and seek to better understand how your sense of worth has been challenged and eroded. Through our counselling sessions, I aim to partner with you to carefully draw from different therapeutic approaches (a core characteristic of Integrative counselling) to find what best enables you to grow beyond your life challenges and become more emotionally mature and holistically healthy.

What will happen after I fill in the enquiry form?
I will contact you to discuss mutual availability for our counselling sessions and arrange a time for our initial 30-minute consultation session. The consultation session is not a counselling session but a time to explore why you are seeking a counsellor now, your goals for counselling, and any concerns you might have. It is also a time for us to see if we are a good "fit".If you are neurodiverse or have any other needs, we can also discuss what adjustments can be made to make our future sessions more supportive for you.If we decide to start working together after the consultation session, we will agree on a regular weekly time for our sessions, and I will send you a Counselling Agreement to sign along with a Client Information Form for you to fill in.
What do counselling sessions generally look like?
It is generally beneficial for counselling sessions to occur in a weekly 50-minute time slot. As we establish a therapeutic relationship, we will work together to determine how you would like to use each session, tailoring it to your specific needs.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions a person needs depends mainly on the individual and the specific issues they want to address. Therefore, I practise an open-ended approach to counselling. However, we will conduct regular reviews (every 6-8 weeks) to discuss the progress of your therapeutic journey.
What is your session cancellation policy?
You are free to cancel any scheduled session at no charge up to 48 hours beforehand or make a payment in lieu of notice (unless exceptional circumstances apply) as follows :- The full fee if less than 24hrs notice
- £25 if more than 24hrs notice but less than 48hrs.
How and when should I pay for my sessions?
Payment details will be shared with you during our consultation session. Please make payment on the day of each session.
